Winter X Games

This was a fun and challenging project to work on. I drove the assignment from brainstorming to final execution. Working with our in-house photographer Chasen Marshall, we connected via texts and emails while he on site at the X Games working to get the assets needed to complete my vision. Turnaround time was very quick as the photographer had limited time on the X Games halfpipe between the workers carving the pipe and the athletes practicing.

The Final Design of the Oakley.com Banner
Project 01a
In the beginning, I used 3d renders and images found online to visualize my idea.
Project 01a
Once the idea was set, I worked remotely with our photographer to get the visual assets needed.
Project 01b
Now that we had images, I went to work in Photoshop removing the lens reflections we didn't want and enhancing the reflections we did want to show.
Project 01c
With the idea set and the visuals retouched, the next step was to create banners used through out the website that maintained consistency among each other and cohesive with the Oakley brand.
Project 01c
The final step? Celebrating the Oakley athletes who took home medals from the Winter X-Games and also highlighting the new Oakley goggles with PRIZM lens technology in a responsive email design.
